The MOOD project boasts of a vaste network of researchers involved in human and animal health. This section collects MOOD’s scientific posters, and highlights MOOD’s contribution to international scientific efforts to improve Epidemic Intelligence systems across Europe and the world.
ESCAIDE
23rd – 25th November 2022
The ‘European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology’ (ESCAIDE) is an annual conference which aims at strengthening the prevention and control of communicable disease through the sharing of knowledge, experience and contacts. It also provides opportunities for further professional development for fellows and students.
ESCAIDE is composed of a broad programme of sessions. The scientific content of the Conference primarily consists of plenary sessions, and oral and poster abstract presentations, which form a platform for the sharing of scientific advances. The content of the abstract sessions is determined through a scientifically independent process, driven by submitted abstracts, selected on the basis of assessment by three different independent reviewers. The reviewers are selected by their scientific expertise and lack of conflicting interests. The body which oversees this process and proposes the plenary sessions is the ESCAIDE Scientific Committee.

MOOD Annual Consortium Meeting's Poster Award
23rd – 24th June 2022
The congress room of the Agropolis building in Montpellier (France) gave the stage to the MOOD Annual Consortium Meeting 2022, on 23 & 24 June.
This was the occasion to present the scientific achievements of the previous year, as well as the progress and future steps of each working group. Besides the Working Packages programme, AVIA-gis (WP5) led the co-development sessions for the generic and disease-specific tools that will be part of the MOOD platform for epidemic intelligence together with invited end-users.
In support of young researchers taking part in the MOOD project, the Coordination Team organized the MOOD Poster Award, an occasion for students at Master’s and PhD levels to share their work and achievements. The best poster had been awarded a sponsored ticket to the next international conference on OneHealth!

ESA Living Planet Symposium 2022
23rd – 27th May 2022
MOOD researchers participated at the ESA Living Planet Symposium 2022, the one-in-four-year event attracting thousands of scientists and data users. ESA’s Living Planet Symposia are amongst the biggest Earth observation conferences in the world. For decades now Earth observation has played a fundamental role in advancing our understanding of how our planet works and how it is being affected by climate change. While the need to continue to advance our knowledge and monitor global change remains paramount, Earth observation has entered a new era where it is playing a key role in a myriad of everyday applications to improve daily lives and is also becoming increasingly relevant for the competitive business sector.
