SUMMARY:Training ArbocartoR - Call for expression of interest
DESCRIPTION:Do you wish to be trained in the use of arbocartoR\, to exchange with other European experts involved in mosquito population control\, and to contribute to making the tool more adapted to your needs? If you are you involved in the design of national/regional surveillance or control protocols of mosquito’s populations\, with the ability to work in English. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnswer the call for interest here\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe arbocartoR online platform is a decision support tool developed at Cirad (France) in the frame of the H2020 MOOD project (https://mood-h2020.eu/). The tool allows to simulate and explore spatial and temporal population dynamics of Aedes mosquitoes (albopictus and aegypti) in various environments and the dynamics of transmission of three arboviruses: dengue\, zika\, chikungunya. It also provides key figures to support the decision process in implementing surveillance and control. Find out about the origins of arbocartoR at https://www.arbocarto.fr/en. \n\n\n\nApply now to be trained in the use of arbocartoR! All applications should be submitted either by mail at arbocarto@teledetection.frand comprise your contact information\, institute or company\, and role in the vector surveillance/control\, on this link or or by scanning the qrcode: \n\n\n\nClosing date for submission: 18 December 2023\, 18:00 CEST\n\n\n\nAnswer the call for interest here\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe training will be a 3-day in-person workshop in Paris from Tuesday\, February 27th\, 2024\, 12 pm until Thursday\, February 29th\, 2024\, 12 pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe training will be proposed to a maximum of 14 motivated participants involved in the national or regional surveillance/control of Aedes mosquitoes. Participation\, including lunches\, breaks\, and social dinner\, is free of charge. Travel\, accommodation and additional subsistence expenses will not be reimbursed\, and no per diem will be provided.  The Mood project may exceptionally cover the travel and accommodation expenses of a few participants who request it. This request should be approuved by the Coordination of the project. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAn event hosted by Cirad · INRAE · MUSE \n\n\n\nUMR ASTRE – AnimalS health Territories Risk Ecosystels \n\n\n\nChem. de Baillarguet\, 34980 Montferrier-sur-Lez – \n\n\n\nphone: +33 4 67 59 39 04 – arbocarto@teledetection.fr
